LanTool

LanTool is an excellent utility that you can use to administer your local network.

The program includes all of the features and functions you would expect from an application of its type, like to remotely turn off, restart, or turn on computers.

The main menu displays all of the computers you have control over. Right-clicking any one of them will give you the ability to perform various operations that fall into one of five basic categories: system operations, messaging, network status, info, and miscellaneous.

From that popup menu you can send files to another PC, finalize remote processes, keep track of network connection status, lower the volume on other machines, and more.

All of this comes packaged in a super simple application that is also completely free.
